Where have I been?

23 Mar

Sorry about the mini MIA, I was extremely busy and just didn’t have time to blog, but I am back now so here we go! On Thursday, Gregg, Steve, Brittany  and I hit up BBC’s to watch some of the NCAA. Here I had 3 miller 64′s. After our drinks, we hit up Houlihan’s for dinner where I had the Chicken Fajitas!

After dinner, we headed back to our apartment and I had a vitatop with ice cream for dessert. We watched the last of the games on Thursday and hit the hay!

p10204491

I had off of work on Friday, so I slept in a little bit but when I woke up I made myself a bowl of cranberry oats for 3 pts.

p10204671

Lunch on Friday was the you pick two at Panera where I had the garden veggie soup and salad for 3 pts.

Friday night we went to Gregg’s parents house to hang out with them and watch the NCAA games. We also went out to dinner at Damon’s where I had the grilled shrimp skewers with grilled vegetables for 9 pts.  On Saturday morning, we went to the Cracker Barrel with Gregg’s parents and I had Oatmeal with an Apple Bran Muffin. This muffin was to die for! I loved it and it kept me full until dinner that night too! I had a wedding to go to on Saturday night and I didn’t take any pictures so I will just sum up the food: fruit, veggies, chicken, beef, mashed potatoes, wheat rolls and cake! It was very good, I don’t think there was anything that I disliked. Saturday night, I had a bachelorette party to attend, and this is one of the only pics I took:

p1020492

This was the beginning of the night, so we all look pretty decent. I don’t know how we looked towards the end, but let’s just say that I have not drank like that in a really long time and it definatly showed at the end of the night when I got sick! Oh well, it will happen!

Sunday morning when I woke up I was totally okay, no hangover or anything! Maybe getting sick was a good thing because that would have been a KILLER hangover! Gregg and I went for our typical Sunday coffee and I made us egg sammys for breakfast. Mine had egg beaters, turkey bacon and a laughing cow wedge on it for a total of 5pts.

p1020496

My sammy held me over pretty good so I just snacked on this pear for lunch, 1 pt.

p10204971

For dinner, I made my own chicken fajitas:

p1020498

I had the fajita mixture wrapped in a whole wheat tortilla and also had some fat free refried beans, sour cream and salsa with chips to complete my meal. Total pts: 9.

p1020499

And for dessert last night, I had half of a pumpkin muffin that Gregg bought for me from Sendik’s. This muffin was delicious! It even had walnuts and raisins! Total pts: 5.5.

p1020501

Today, I made myself another bowl of cranberry oats. I cannot get enough of this combo! I think the spices and the orange extract really add to the flavor and it totally keeps me full until lunch! Total pts: 2.5.

p1020503

And for my lunch, I packed a pb & j, string cheese, a promax bar and some strawberries and a tangerine. Total pts: 4.5.

p1020504

Sorry this was a really long post, but it has been a while since I posted. I hope you all have a great day! :)

TIP OF THE DAY:

Don’t drink as much as me :)

Another Icy Monday!

9 Mar

Can the weather just stop playing games with me? I wanted to run yesterday, but I refuse to run when it is a mixture of snow and rain which then turns to ice. Seriously, all I want to do is run outside can’t the weather just know this by now? Anyways, on Saturday we went up north for my grandma’s 99th birthday party. It was okay, got to see a bunch of family members and eat some grub. I didn’t take a picture, but I had some potato casserole, chicken, veggies and a piece of cake. Overall, I didn’t eat too much because the options weren’t the best for you. But, when I got home I grabbed a bag of popcorn and headed to Michelle’s to watch a movie. When I got home, I crashed.

Then, yesterday I started my day off with egg beaters, turkey bacon, toast and an apple, total pts: 4

p1020433

After breakfast, I got a few things done around the apartment and got ready for another b-day party at my Uncle’s house. There, I had a piece of pizza without the cheese (it was kind of greasy), a few pieces of shrimp and some pretzels for a total of 7pts. Last night for dinner, I had some chicken gumbo soup, an apple and a tangerine for 3.5 pts.

p1020434

For dessert, I had 1 cup of fat free vanilla frozen yogurt for 2 pts. I also sprinkled some cinnamon on it for a little more flavor.

p1020436

This morning, I had Pumpkin oats for 2pts.

p1020390

And, I packed an arnold thin with pb, celery, a pear, string cheese and applesauce (not pictured). I plan on cutting up my pear and using half of it on my pb sammy, all for 6pts.

p10204381

I am sorry this is not that informative, but I gotta get to work so I can get a bunch of things done this morning. Have a great day :)

Crazy Busy Monday

2 Mar

I have to make this post really fast, so I am going to just jump to food and then come back alter and fill you in on my weekend. On Friday, I had a bowl of pumpkin oats for lunch, total pts: 2.

p1020390

On Friday afternoon, I put together this cheese and sausage tray. The different kinds of cheese are Colby, Swiss, spicy cheddar, Gouda and I am not sure what the last kind was. This tray was a hit, but I cut up too much cheese and have enough left over to make another tray just like this one!

p1020393

As always, I made Chili dip, but this time I made it Vegetarian style!

p1020394

I also made a tray of taco dip and as always, this was the first to be eaten!

p1020396

At the poker party, I had a bunch of veggies and fruit thanks to Gregg’s Mom who was nice enough to bring a huge fruit and veggie platter with tons of extras! So, you know I will be eating tons of veggies and fruits the next few days!

Saturday morning, I ate a bowl of oats. For lunch we went to the Mongolian grill and then stopped at the cheesecake factory for dessert. I got the strawberry cheesecake…. totally worth the 17pts!

p1020397

Sundays breakfast: omelet with cheese and broccoli, an apple and a cup of coffee with a bagel total pts: 5.5.

p1020398

Sunday’s lunch: veggies and strawberries, total pts: ZERO!!!!

p1020402

For dinner last night, we had sushi, sorry no pic! And this morning, I had an apple with a breakfast wrap that consisted of ricotta cheese, truvia, vanilla and strawberries, total pts: 3.5

p1020404

And for lunch, I packed up the last of the Turkey chili, grapes, celery and a Kashi Pumpkin bar, total pts: 7.

p1020403

That’s all for now, have a great day! :)

Long weekend!

23 Feb

Good Afternoon Everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend! My weekend was kind of busy and it all started on Friday. After Gregg got home from work, we went to Mayfair to return a pair of jeans that I had bought in January. While we were there, we stopped at Alterra and got some coffee. Once we got home, we made Omelets for dinner. I had a cheese/mushroom/pepper omelet with 1 piece of turkey bacon and 1 Arnold thin.

p1020348

After dinner, Gregg and I watched the movie Cars. I thought it was a pretty cute movie, but nothing compared to Wall-E or Finding Nemo! During the movie I snacked on some popcorn and after the movie I had 1/2 piece of carrot cake. This is the best carrot cake ever! If you are from Milwaukee you will know that Simma’s makes the best cakes!

p1020349

Saturday morning, I had a bowl of berry oats. I mixed in oats, cinnamon, truvia, blackberries, strawberries, cranberries and a little bit of cottage cheese. The oats were only okay. There was something off about them, my guess is that I am not used to the cottage cheese.

p10203501

Then, for lunch I had a grilled turkey and cheese sammy, an apple and some carrots.

p1020351

After lunch, I got ready and met up with Michelle to help her Mom out with a little get together she was having. While there, I snacked on a few cashews and pretzels. I didn’t really have a dinner or anything and was going to snack on some fruit when I got home. But, to my surprise my wonderful boyfriend pout a little tray together for him and I to share. On the tray: strawberries, pears, apples, grapes, dried apricots, Gouda cheese, brie cheese and I am not sure what the last kind was. He also had a plate of crackers set out as well. And, as I am sure you notice 2 mini-fruit tarts for a little dessert once we were done with the platter. This was such a nice variety and a nice surprise!

p1020352

Then, on Sunday morning him and I went to Caribou Coffee for our Sunday ritual and when we returned, I made another bowl of berry oats. This time, no cinnamon, cottage cheese or cranberries. But, I did add blueberries and this oatmeal was dead on! So sweet and filling, perfect Sunday breakfast.

p1020355

I pretty much lounged around during the day and took Gregg out for a lunch/dinner for his birthday that is tomorrow. I took him to this place called Swig. There, we ordered to small plates to share: crab cakes and a lobster stuffed pepper. The crab cakes were AWESOME! Nice and light, not fried and to my surprise there was NO mayo in it either! The pepper on the other hand was just okay. For our main meal, I ordered a Chicken-hummus Pita with Fresh Fruit and Gregg ordered A panini with fries. I had a glass of white Sangria that was below average and Gregg ordered a Mojito. Overall the meal was only okay. I am not sure I would visit again, but if we did I would defiantly order something else. After dinner, we headed to a Gelato place for dessert, but opted to bring it home so this is what we got:

p1020356

We got 4 different kinds of gelato: Wedding cake, Apple Pie, Pumpkin and White Raspberry. I wanted to try all 4 so here was my portion:

p1020359

Overall, I think I liked the Wedding cake the most. I can’t really describe it, but it was very nice and sweet without an overpowering of sweetness if that makes sense. But, the Gelato was defiantly a bigger hit than our lunch and dinner.

Then, this morning I had a bagel with cream cheese and peanut butter along with an apple. (3pts)

p1020363

During the day, I snacked on a few rice cakes (1pt) and for lunch I had the last of my pita from yesterday, carrots, celery, grapes and a ww cookie, total pts: 5.5.

p1020360

But, that is all I have for now, have a great day everyone! :)

Monday Already?

16 Feb

Seriously, where did the weekend go? It feels like yesterday I was locking up my door to my office to leave for the weekend. I think the weekends should include Monday, just a thought….. But anyways on Friday when I got home from work, I had a salad and some soup, total pts: 1.

p1020304

Friday night, Gregg and I went to Alterra for dinner where I ordered the Grilled Veggie Wrap. I of course didn’t take a picture, but it was probably the best wrap I have ever had. It had califlouer, summer quash, mushrooms and onions with a little bit of pepperjack cheese all wraped up and grilled. SO GOOD!!! After our dinner, we headed to the grocery store where I spent $227 on groceries! We are pretty stocked up now, so hopefully I won’t need to hit up the store for a while.

Saturday morning, Gregg and I got up around 8:30 and ran a few errands.  We went to Sendik’s, The Breadsmith, Wal-mart, Simma’s and caribou coffee. We had to pick up a few things for the apartment and for our Valentine’s Day dinner so we headed out a little earlier than normal. When we got back, I had a bagel and coffee for breakfast.

p1020307

I didn’t really eat a lunch on Saturday because we pretty much ate breakfast at 12:30 so I just snacked on some carrots to hold me over until dinner. Our dinner was FANTASTIC!!! This was my plate: broccoli, carrots, crab stuffed sole, scallops, bruschetta bread and grilled shrimp! I also had a glass of wine that we picked up that morning as well. The whole dinner was perfectly done and relaxing. A great way to spend the night at home with my huney.

p1020314

For dessert, we picked up some chocolate covered strawberries and carrot cake. Gregg and I each had 1 strawberry and half of the carrot cake. We did also buy some fruit tarts, but were too full to eat them!

p1020319

After our dinner, we watched the Break Up on Tv and I snacked on a few conversation hearts. It’s not Valentine’s day without them!

p1020323

Then, on Sunday morning I woke up and had an apple (1pt).

p1020324

Followed by a bowl of Berry Oats (cranberries, strawberries and blueberries), I added some cottage cheese and fiber cereal to it also (3 pts).

p1020326

After my breakfast, I rode my bike for about a half hour followed by some crunches and push-ups. I visited my mom yesterday where her and I had soup and salad for lunch. Later on Gregg and I went to the all you can eat sushi bar by our apartment. I had a few Salmon Nigiri’s followed by some Eel Nigiri’s and a rainbow roll. We also got to have the Green Tea Ice cream! My man knows the key to my heart is a good meal and Ice cream so he did a good job picking where we went for dinner last night.

And for this morning, I made myself a bowl of pb and banana oats (4.5pts)

p1020329

And for lunch, I packed up 2 tangerines, a 100 calorie snack, a pb and j, carrots and string cheese ( 4.5 pts).

p1020327

That’s all I have for now, I hope you all had a great weekend, have a good day :)

Frantic Monday

9 Feb

p10202723

p1020273

I also made a spaghetti squash and had about 2 cups of it along with some pasta sauce, total pts: 3

p1020277

Then, this morning I had 2 pieces of whole wheat toast, an apple and a mixture of ricotta cheese, orange extract and a sprinkle of truvia (i used this as the spread for my bread). I also had the last of my protein powder (no pictured) total pts: 5.

Another Monday, Another Long Post

26 Jan

So, once again, I have been MIA. I think I will just stop using excuses as to why I don’t blog on the weekends, I am just too lazy. That’s really all it comes down to, me being lazy. I enjoy my weekends away from everything so when I have to sit down at the computer, I feel like I am doing work on the weekends. I dunno, maybe it’s that and the fact that my computer is really slow! But, enough about that! Since I haven’t posted since Friday morning, I need to get right to it. For lunch on Friday I had a grilled cheese, some chips, celery, a promax bar and some strawberries.

p1020139

For dinner on Friday, Gregg and I made a huge salad and had some of that.

p1020144

We also made Shrimp Sammies!!!! These were so tasty! The shrimp were season with weber grill seasoning and a little bit of olive oil. I had mine with some lettuce, mayo and some salsa. What a great dinner!

p1020145

After dinner, we joined my mom for a few drinks where I had 2 beers and a koolaid shot. When we got home, I had a weight watchers peanut butter cookie and some popcorn while we watched a movie. I finally got to bed around 12:30a. I was all excited to sleep in, but the sun had a different plan: Wake Kristi up at 6:30a! But, I managed to go back to sleep, but never really went all the way back to sleep, so around 9:30 I made myself a bowl of cinnamon oats with trader joe high fiber cereal on top.

p1020147

After our breakfast, we went to go look at a few apartments. I will let you know what we decide later. After our apartment hunting, we went to Barnes and Noble followed by Whole foods and Alterra. When we got home, I finished off our huge salad from the night before.

p1020148

And gregg and I split this mini sushi platter that we purchased from Whole Foods.

p1020149

For a treat, I picked up this Vegan Sugar Free Oatmeal Raisin Cookie. This was so yummy! The perfect amount of raisins and oatmeal made this a great cookie! However, it was a little dry making it taste more like a scone than a cookie. Either way, I still liked it.

p10201501

After our lunch, we lounged around for a little bit and then went to a b-day party for my uncle. There, I had a few pretzels, some taco dip, jello and a roast beef sammy…. and of course I had a piece of b-day cake!!!! Just when I thought I was doing so good on my points for the day, we got asked to go see a band at a local bar. We went, we drank and then when I got home, I was hungry! After drinking about 14 points, and having a grilled cheese sammy with some popcorn and a piece of chocolate for dessert my total pts for the day came to a whopping 51! I know, thats a ton of food/drinks for one day. But, I had fun, I counted for it and now, I am moving on!

After my night of drinking, I needed something nice and healthy, so I had a bowl of fruit and a Low cal mango smoothie, total pts: 6.

p1020152

For lunch, I had a open faced tuna sammie, chips and a tomato sliced with s and p, total pts: 3. After lunch, gregg and I watched a movie and I snacked on some high fiber cereal and some popcorn, total pts: 2.

p1020156

For dinner, I made a salad, spaghetti and garlic bread, total pts: 5.

p1020159

p1020158

p1020160

For dessert, I finished my egg nog ice cream :( and had some of these little guys, total pts: 3.5.

p1020162

For breakfast this morning, I had a bagel with brown sugar cream cheese and an apple, total pts: 3.

p1020165

And today for lunch, I packed up a tofu sammy (arnold sand thin, tofu, lettuce and almond butter), a pear and 1/4 cup of Snacktrition trail mix!

p1020164

Sorry this post was kind of boring and not too many words, but I am really busy today! Have a great one! :)

Woops….

13 Oct

Sorry I haven’tposted since Friday, I had an extremely busy weekend. I do have a few pics, but not with me right now. So, with that in mind, check back later on tonight for a recap of my weekend!

What a Weekend!

6 Oct

Wow, I can’t believe the weekend is over! I want it back!!!!!! But, I can’t always get what I want, so I guess I will just have to wait for this upcoming weekend to get here! Unfortunately, no pics from the weekend. But, I can still tell you about my weekend. On Friday, Gregg and I went to my brothers house for a bon fire for his birthday. There we had taco’s in a bag. Taco’s in a bag are nacho chips like Doritos or Frito’s still in their mini bags. You cut the top of the bag off and you add all the taco topping you would like on it! VERY tasty!!!! I also had some apple cider and a cookie! It was very good!

Saturday, I had some oatmeal with peanut butter, banana and cinnamon mixed in with a little bif of fiber one for some crunch. For lunch, we took my niece to noodles and co. Here, I had the whole grain noodles with broccoli, onions and mushrooms with a side salad. Then, the best thing EVER happened! I went to the BREWER GAME!!!!! Thank god I had extra points because I had a few drinks and by the time the game was done, all that was open was Taco bell….. I know real healthy! But, I figured what the heck! It’s the playoffs and it’s only one day of eating whatever. But, I tracked every bite and drink! The brewers won on Saturday, but lost on Sunday… Oh well, at least I got to see the winning game!

Then yesterday, was a pretty lazy day. Gregg and I got up, got ready and headed out to run a few errands. We had his tires rotated and ran to the grocery store. We also grabbed some coffee to hold us over until we got home to eat lunch. For lunch, I had an apple, 1 cup of grapes, 1 cup of strawberries and an alternative bagel with pumpkin butter on the top. For lunch/dinner we had jimmy johns. And then, for dessert, I had some frozen yogurt with cinnamon and puffins mixed in.

I know, not very exciting or detailed, but I wanted to get to today! I had a very hard time deciding what to have for lunch and breakfast this morning…. so for breakfast, I have 1 cup of Kashi Vive, 1 Thomas Light English Muffin w/ 1/2 tbs of Whipped Weight Watchers Cream Cheese and 1 apple sprinkled with cinnamon.

Then, for lunch, I decided to make a turkey sandwich with lettuce and low fat mayo and of course turkey! I also put some carrots in a container to steam. Along with that, I packed up a cup of grapes to snack on. Also, (not pictured) I packed about 3 cups of 94% fat free popcorn.

So, that’s my plan for the day. For dinner, we are having Binner again! This time omelets!!! I will be back later to post! Have a great day!!!!
