Wedding Vendors

As most of you know, Gregg and I finally tied the knot after 6 years of dating on September 4, 2010. Through our planning process we were very particular on which vendors to use. In doing so, we only picked the best! From the big picture to the little details, these vendors have helped us tremendously and without them my perfect wedding would not happen. Please feel free to browse the vendors we used and ask me any questions-I will be sure to help.

  • Double Platinum Dj- BEST DJ EVER! No lie, everyone was dancing the whole time. The best part is, they provided me with a CD of all of the meaningful songs we picked out-it is such a nice memory to have. Our Dj David was so much fun too! The whole crowd loved him and he kept the party going all night-thanks David :)
  • Sweet Perfections- Wedding cake-everyone raved about it! There were 3 flavors:strawberry tuxedo, white raspberry and peanut butter. The cake was so lite and filling and definitely a show stopper :)

  • Eva’s Bridal- Wedding Dress-they were extremely helpful and made sure my dress fit me like a glove.

  • Davids Bridal- Bridesmaid Dresses
  • Expressive Photography- Wedding Photographer-everyone loved Patrick! He was always taking photos and even got in the middle of the dance floor during jump around! He was such a trooper, I cannot wait to see the pics
  • Acandystore- Candy for candy buffet-super easy to work with and very helpful!

  • Scoops-Scoops- Scoops for our candy buffet-great customer service and very informational on how to create an appealing candy buffet

Remember, there is NO right or wrong design here…….do what you want, do what you like. Set up your candy containers on your kitchen table, move them around, see how they look. Most of all have fun, enjoy the day and be sweet.

    1. Salty goes with sweet! Add some mixed nuts, pretzels, chips….etc.
    2. Fresh fruit balls or ka-bobs for non candy eaters.
    3. Use phone books or milk crates under your table cloth to give
    height to different containers.
    4. Ribbons around containers / scoops / tong will make all match your
    “theme” or “event colors”
    5. Personalize your candy buffet with childhood photos of “guests of honor”
    or “bride and groom”.
    6. Flowers from your ceremony will add a special touch to your candy buffet table.
    7. Using white linens? string white holiday lights under linens to “illuminate”
candy buffet. Accent with colorful table runner. Use bold colors.
    8. Candy buffet not open till later? Cover with tulle… people can see it, but not
    eat it.
    9. Be on the look-out for fantastic candy containers. Thrift stores, yard sales, dollar
stores and don’t forget to ask family members.
    10. Place a smaller container upside down inside larger candy containers so you don’t need as much candy.
    11. Shop for candy after a holiday! Don’t forget discount warehouses. Sam’s, Smart & Final,
    bulk candy stores.
    12. Add color: Take home: bags, boxes, napkins.
    13. Bags too big. If they are tall, cut tops with fancy scissors! Boom, smaller bag.
    14. Frame a saying that matches the guest(s) of honor. Love is SWEET, Enjoy a Treat!
Enjoy the Sugar Rush (names), How Sweet It Is Being Loved By You.
    15. Scoops will scoop, but gummies candies will not.
    16. Ladles work great with “tall” containers.
    17. Rule of Thumb: if you have a 5 oz. scoop, then guests will scoop 5 oz. Smaller
scoops will act as “quantity control”
    18. Retro Candy: brings back memories from childhood.
    19. A Candy Buffet is sweet, but it is “Eye Candy” as well.
    20. Find a way to add that custom touch.

Can’t wait to hear about your wedding!

    Happy planning, Randi
